Eve The Awakening Review.

Eve: The AwakeningEve: The Awakening by Jenna Moreci
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Eve the Awakening has a little bit of everything, love, hate, blood, powers, and real emotions. I was entertained throughout and really eager to find out what was going to happen next. The twists were amazing and the writing was dynamic. I can't wait for the next one.

Book Reviews in the 21st Century

There are many reviews I read that say simple things like awful 1 star or fantastic 5 stars. These reviews don't provide any information that I can use. I want to know the emotions a book evoked, if you could put it down, or you had to know what was going to happen next.
Some words that help me determine if a reviewer has sold me.

Surprising
Satisfying
Page Turning
Shocking
Well Thought Out (that one is subjective sometimes)

Apparently a lot of S's but you get the point. I want to know how a reviewer felt about the story not that there was a typo of page 20 or that the writer owed them money. That last one is exaggerated a bit, but things are in book reviews that just shouldn't be there.

Also when you talk about things you liked and didn't like in a review you give the author some meat to chomp on. They need that feedback, we crave it. When someone says ^^ "This is good," we really want to know what we've done right.

We won't press, but we want to know. I'm going to try to be better at reviews. I want to share knowledge that's useful to those who want to read and those who wrote what I'm reading.

Have a great Friday and thank you for reading my thoughts.

BENDER!! My Review

This goddess of the written word

M. Stratton

wrote a little novel called BENDER and I'm going to review it.

HERE AFTER THE PICTURES

I am giving Bender *****
here's why

Stormy the protag was likable in a way that annoyed me. Stratton made her so appealing while making her quite naive.
Bender was damaged and her was softened by Stormy a bit but not in a way that made me feel like he lost himself.

THE VILLAINS

The villains in this novel are what earned Stratton that fifth star I usually reserve for books like WOOL that had me lying on my carpet thinking about it for days. The villains were creepy and creative. They weren't typical and they gave me chills with some of their shenanigans. NUTTER is a nutter!! Nice job Stratton, ready for more!!

Dead of Night Review Tour

Dead of Night Review Tour

Blurb:

In a dark and desolated After Earth, love still does exist, but the cost of bearing such a flaw is death. World War III has left Earth in utter turmoil. People’s beliefs are said to be the cause of the worldwide destruction. After The Clearing new laws are set about - to show certitude in anything besides the law is weak and chargeable as mutiny. To be illogical and have faith in religion is illegal, to be limitless is dangerous. And Illness is seen as a defect – all flaws that are inexcusable. But to love is the greatest betrayal of all mankind. It is a fault the world has long forgotten and punishable by death, a fatal risk Aecker and Opel are fully prepared to take - because in love there is freedom. But how far can they push back before it claims their lives and of those they care about?

My Review: It's so good! I can't say enough amazing things about this story. It's creative, it's so well written, and it's just a fantastic story. You want to keep reading as soon as you start the story, it's hard to put it down. I won't give any of the story away but if you like unique well told stories then Labuschagne is the author for you. The imagery is amazing, she weaves the scene in a way you can see it! 5 enthusiastic stars!!
